In India, a foul mouthed and feathered fiend was detained by police for harassing an 85-year-old woman to the point of madness. The woman claims her step-son spent two years meticulously training the parrot to verbally assault her with foul language and she has filed multiple reports with local police hoping that the long arm of the law would intervene. Local authorities took the bird into custody in order to see if the woman’s claims held any truth. The lead inspector stated, “We watched the parrot carefully but it did not utter a word at the police station after being confronted by the complainant.” Although there was insufficient evidence to prove the explicative conspiracy, the parrot was removed from its owner’s custody and turned over to forestry officials who assured everyone they’d be able to teach the bawdy bird some manners or run it through a rigorous Scared Straight program to keep it from turning to a life of crime. Even a bird brain knows that a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
