In Wisconsin, two Goodwill employees were hard at work sorting through donated shoes to get them shelf ready when they came across the ultimate donation, $13,000 dollars in cash tucked away in a yellow envelope. The owner was eventually tracked down using a tax receipt and the discarded money was returned. The woman who came to collect the money said that it belonged to her husband who had habit of stashing cash, a side effect of living through the Great Depression. A small reward was given to the two employees who returned the money.

Well at least they were nice enough to return it to the rightful owner
Those employees deserve a “your awesome!” hi five :]
LOL, I wouldn’t have returned it. :-/
I want to find $13,000, so bad right now.
” her husband who had habit of stashing cash”…kinda makes you wonder…how much money has he hidden?
that is so a house i would raid. there’s money they probably don’t even remember they hid going on there. my other question is… how do you lose/misplace/forget about 13000 dollars?
I’m amazed that they gave the money back… shows that there are still good people in this world!
Ha, I think someone’s husband slept on the couch that night.
Oh, haven’t we all forgotten to send in our taxes after living during the Civil War? This guy had no excuse…
