Pardon Me, But Is This Your Finger?

Pardon Me, But Is This Your Finger?A New Jersey woman, while on a relaxing stroll along the seashore, came upon a strange object lying on the boardwalk. Upon closer examination, she quickly realized that she was staring down at a decomposed finger with an acrylic, french-manicured nail on the tip. Police were called to the scene and quickly sent the finger off to the Medical Examiner’s office. While awaiting the results, Police began to scour the missing persons database in search of possible leads, thinking that it might have been dropped there by a bird who had picked it up in the surrounding area. Mystery already surrounded the case of the severed finger, but things only got weirder when a forensic anthropologist studied the decomposed object and determined that it was neither human nor animal, but instead was made of an unidentified substance. What do you think it is?

Wow. That is the weirdest thing I have heard today. (And I was listening to a story about giant flesh-eating bugs.)
    Just, wow.

Hmmm… I don’t know. If it wasn’t human or animal is must be from another world! :O

    …Well. That’s really odd.
For some reason, aliens with french-tips came to my mind when I read this. XD But I think kau’s response is much more likely.

Well, if it was rubber it wouldn’t have been decomposing and surely a group of forensic anthropologists would have determined that immediately.

    The only logical solution?
    Aliens. French ones.

Wait, it’s probably from one of those suits that aliens wear to disguise themselves as humans like in Men in black!

But, if it was a fake finger, Why couldn’t police fingure it out sooner? I mean, there had to be some bone in there and junk for foresics to find sooner no? I wonder how long did it take for them to figure all this out?

My guess is its a fake finger used for practice on doing fake acrylic nails. I’ve seen them at beauty store.

Maybe it was fake, an arist representation (then again, they’d be able to identify it as paint…), or quite possibly a replacement finger, like in Star Wars, except this was very, VERY accurate.

Well it is most likely a finger used for cosmetology school purposes. The manakins that i use are extremely life-like and if a finger was lying on the beach in sand I’d think it was real too. lol

I think everyone missed the line where is said it was decomposing. That implies it is organic.I mean it could have been some kind of vegetable or food product shaped like a finger. But neither human nor animal doesn’t rule out organic and that makes it creepy.
